The total was up 1 percent from February but 12 percent lower than a year earlier. The median price increased 15 percent to $435,470 from $379,000 a year earlier. In the Los Angeles area sales fell 15.5 percent from a year ago and the median price increased 14 percent to $402,020 from $353,350.
